Lithuanian School November 13, 2015 This Saturday, everyone was busy at school, not only the children but also the teachers and parents. We began our day by singing the Lithuanian national anthem and rehearsing Christmas carols and songs for our Christmas concert. We are having fun preparing for the upcoming holiday celebrations. We are glad to have received Lithuanian amber beads for our school project in which students are awarded amber beads for good deeds and use the beads to make their own necklaces. We give thanks to Mrs. Silva Stankevičienė in Lithuania, who asked her brother Antanas to bring the beads to us. In an accompanying letter she wrote, “My brother told me about your ‘Amber Beads Project’ and I am happy to make this contribution. I wish you success.”
