OUR TEACHERS PARTICIPATE IN THE SEMINAR ENTITLED, “THE LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE – NATIVE, FOREIGN, OR HERITAGE.”

Lithuanian School 7 November 2015 Not only do students learn but so do teachers. On Sunday, November 8, our teachers Aldona, Laisvida, and Ilona took part in a seminar held at the Lithuanian Embassy in Washington, D.C, entitled, “The Lithuanian Language – Native, Foreign, or Heritage.” The seminar addressed the very practical question of how the Lithuanian language should be presented to students who live outside of Lithuania. In was very interesting to learn the approaches taken by our counterparts at other ethnic Lithuanian schools in the U.S.
