Jurgita Lūžaitė-Kajėtienė in her article, “New Books For Teenagers:  How To Get Them Engaged In Reading,” makes these four points:

  1. Reading enriches a child’s language and vocabulary in general
  2. Children who read a lot make fewer grammar, syntax, and other language mistakes.
  3. Proficient reading and the ability to find answers in a book help a child learn how to study on their own.
  4. Books teach one to understand others and be more accepting of those who are near us. 

These are really important advantages obtained from becoming a good reader.
