National Dictation and Mardi Gras
This morning the parents and the students were greeted by people in weird costumes. Good that everyone brought pancakes, otherwise they probably would not have been let in the school.
We sang the national anthem and dispersed into our classrooms. The oldest students and parents wrote the National Dictation, which apparently was not easy.
We watched a movie about Mardi Gras, put on our decorated masks and went outside. We were driving out the winter with dances and songs and the fight between Kanapinis and Lasininis. We learned what More was and why we had to burn it. After the games, we returned to the "Funnest Pancake House" and shared a meal of all kinds of pancakes. It was a fun Mardi Gras; hopefully the spring is close.
