Drive Winter Out and Meet Spring With Joy
There was much fun at school and in the playground this Saturday. Though we like playing with snow and making snowmen, it’s time for winter to leave.
Teacher Skirmantė told many interesting things about Shrove Tuesday traditions and the main characters of this holiday. Students had paper dolls and watched the traditional contest between a Fat Man (Lašininis)(representing winter) and a Lean Man (Kanapinis)(representing spring).
Teacher Laisvė talked about the birds that return to Lithuania when winter ends. Our creative students made masks of birds and imitated their sounds. We enjoyed lots of pancakes.
