School community lives in the mood for poetry celebration
We began the 26th of October with very active and poetic attitude. Our school community lives in the mood for poetry celebration. Instead of history lessons, the students had creative writing workshops. We tried to knock down creative blocks, to liberate creativity and with the help of some methods we began to create the basis of personal poem of students in Lithuanian. Our students practiced spoken Lithuanian in the classroom, developed their language skills through a press conference method, diligently filled in their vocabulary, and used newly learned words in sentences. Children in the classroom learned to tell about autumn, describing wind, rain, and all the seasons. The children also wrote essays on the subject of autumn and corrected them with abundance of newly learned adjectives.
Poetry celebration is within reach, thus also next Saturday the children will attend poetry workshops, edit and create their own poems, also learn about modern poetry movements.
We are moving forward zealously and creatively.
